Rose rust is a fungal disease that can infect all parts of a rose plant except the roots and petals. It is caused by a group of fungi in the genus Phragmidium. The most common symptom of rose rust is the appearance of small, yellow or orange pustules on the undersides of leaves. These pustules eventually burst, releasing spores that can spread the disease to other plants.
